Method
- Open the pudding cups and pour the creamy chocolate pudding into a large mixing bowl. Use a whisk to make sure they are smooth and evenly combined.
- Crush your chocolate cookies using a resealable bag and a rolling pin, or a food processor, until they reach a coarse, dirt-like consistency.
- Layer about half of the crushed cookies over the pudding in the bowl, gently folding them together to incorporate little crumbs that resemble earth or dirt.
- Spoon the pudding mixture into individual cups or small bowls, creating a base layer that looks like a mini graveyard scene.
- Top each pudding cup with the remaining crushed cookies to form a dirt mound, creating uneven textures for a spooky, chaotic landscape.
- Cut marshmallows diagonally to create tombstone shapes, then toast or blacken them slightly with a kitchen torch or under a broiler for a weathered, haunted look.
- Insert the marshmallow tombstones into the dirt layer of each cup, positioning some upright and others leaning for a spooky, chaotic cemetery appearance.
- Arrange gummy worms crawling out of the cookie dirt, twisting some through the dirt and draping others over the edges of the cups for added creepiness.
- Create small chocolate tombs using melted chocolate poured into molds, then chill until firm. Once set, gently remove and place on top of the dirt, or stick into the pudding for added dimension.
- Finally, give everything a light dusting of cocoa powder or black-colored sprinkles to add a layer of haunted, aged dirt effect. Serve immediately or chill until ready to present.
Notes
For extra creepiness, use black food coloring in marshmallow to make them look charred, or add small candy eyes to tombstones. Be creative with decorations to make each scene unique!
