- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, toss the sliced peaches with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until evenly coated. Transfer the mixture to your baking dish and spread into an even layer.
- In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or fork to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the peaches, covering the fruit completely with the topping.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling around the edges.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. The crisp should have a crunchy topping and tender, fragrant fruit underneath.
Notes
For added flavor, sprinkle a little vanilla extract into the fruit mixture or add chopped nuts to the crumble topping. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
